SacPAC is Proud to Announce / Building Connections

More than $1 billion in public work projects.

Building Connections is the only Northern California Construction expo that will bring contractors, designers, construction professionals, suppliers and trade workers together to learn directly from various government agencies such as SMUD, CalTrans, DGS, Regional Transit, County of Sacramento, the Sacramento Regional Builders Exchange (SRBX), and prime contractors about the increasing opportunities associated with more than $1 billion in public work projects currently proposed or underway. The government sector is in tremendous need of qualified contractors, professional service consultants, and skilled labor to support their construction programs. If your company directly or indirectly supports the design or construction industry, you need to have a presence at the Building Connections – A Construction Expo. It’s an event you won’t want to miss!

Yes, absolutely! Several participating government agencies have contracting opportunities available for small, medium, and large businesses ranging from as little as $5,000 to well over $100 million. Additionally, most agencies have special programs and small business goals to help position and prepare your company to bid on government sector contracts.
Yes, definitely. Exhibitors participating in Building Connections- A Construction Expo include government agencies seeking contractors, design and construction professionals; large general contractors and construction professionals recruiting subcontractors and/or employees; and business development organizations seeking to help small businesses grow their business.
The Sacramento Public Agency Consortium (SacPAC) is a collaborative effort of public agencies and small business assistance organizations located in the Sacramento region. This group was formed in response to multiple local government entities scheduling outreach events aimed at the common audience of small and diverse businesses in the Sacramento area. Under the leadership of the City of Sacramento, procurement and diversity relations officials from several government entities came together in 2006 to pursue opportunities for collaborative efforts. The group was known as the Sacramento Region Small Business Resource Partners. This group saw the value of including local business assistance organizations who would provide added benefit to the group’s outreach efforts.

Tax Help for Construction Contractors
Board of Equalization (BOE)

To be successful, construction contractors must understand and comply with many complicated and confusing tax laws. Whether you owe sales or use tax on construction contracts depends on the type of contract and its terms, the type of property that is installed, and whether the property was purchased tax-paid. The Board of Equalization wants to help you understand these laws so you can stay focused on serving your customers and growing your business.
